Self sex will not have any impact on your later fertility. Irregular cycles often makes family planning difficult & there is a subset of the population with fertility issues that are higher in this group. If you try for a year without success it is then time to evaluate fertility.

Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
