Yes, you could cause seizure activity by alcohol or drug abuse, or from head injury. But otherwise, you really could not do this in absence of true abusive behavior. Sometimes, syncope without recumbency and persistent erect posture can provide transient seizure activity secondary to less brain blood flow, but this is not the usual expression.
