Fainting after a traumatic event is not uncommon. The site of the trauma is not specific to the event. It is the kids reaction to the sudden nature of it and ensuing pain.

Agree with Dr. Ferguson. If she did not hit her head against anything in the process of fainting, she should be well. Wish you and your daughter good health!

The mechanism of the injury should be further evaluated. As mentioned, if she hit her head, neck or back, in particular please seek medical care. Watch for warning signs of recurrent fainting, lack of coordination, lethargy, headaches, nausea and vomiting. Keep your daughter well hydrated and observe for changes. Most likely this is an isolated event and not associated with long term problems.

Most likely, the pain provoked a vasovagal reaction resulting in syncope. Would suggest you consider X-rays of elbow if pain, swelling, bruising persists.
