18 days after intercourse is it too soon to take a pregnancy test?

Not too soon: If you had intercourse during ovulation then you should be about 4 days late. Many otc tests are accurate enough to pick up a positive pregnancy. Remember, however, there is only a 15 percent conception rate per cycle. So don't fret if it doesn't happen the first try. We recommend trying for a year before seeking medical evaluation.
