I am finishing my refill of crestor (5 mg.) for chloresterol in a few days. can i then finish my last 10 days of lipitor (10 mg.) tablets that i had taken before crestor? same class of drug. am vacationing 10 days?

Equivalent doses are not precisely defined. 5mgm of Crestor may be equivalent to 20 mgm of Atorvastatin(Lipitor). I do not believe that 10 mgm of Lipitor in place of 5mgm of Crestor will make a difference for 10 days. Depending on your LDL level, there could be an increase in in your level, but for the brief duration, it may not be significant. Diet during vacation may not be ideal though.

Should not be an issue. Those are pretty small doses. Unrelated: Make sure you get your lipid levels checked about 2 months after the change to ensure your cholesterol numbers are at desired goal.
