A member asked:

If crestor and lipitor (atorvastatin) do raise your blood sugar, is it reversed when discontinued? i currently switched to lipitor (atorvastatin) and now have to take insulin.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No, unrelated to lip: Statins do not raise blood glucose so much that subjects need to take insulin. The need to take Insulin is almost surely unrelated to statin use.
