How accurate is a ucg test 7 days before your period?

Over the counter?: Even tough manufacturers advertise great accuracy - over the counter tests are probably not as reliable as advertised in first 2 weeks of pregnancy. You are better off waiting till first day of your "missed" period. More accurate in such an early time frame are either a urine test in the doctor's office or a blood test. I recommend to be patient and wait till time of missed period.
