Im spotting but very lightly with no cramps. and my period is today and the spotting hasnt gotten heavier, and i know im not pregnant since ive never had actual intercourse. why hasnt my period come yet?

The menstrual cycle can be different when you initially begin. You can have light and heavy periods and it is not unusual

"Actual intercourse" is a relative term, as contact with semen can occur with other forms of physical intimacy, even without ejaculation by a male partner. If your period is delayed, obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy. A delay in ovulation can also delay onset of menstruation. If HCG is negative, see your gyn about low dose oral bcp's.
