A member asked:

Can ct scan miss fibrosis of liver or cirrhosis?

5 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

CT scan does not show much change in the liver until the disease is far advanced and liver shrinks in size. The best tests for cirrhosis are blood tests(Liver function tests(LFTs) which can reveal overall health of the liver. If the LFTs are high, then a needle biopsy of liver is indicated to check for cirrhosis.

Yes, It depends on the stage of the disease and the skill level of the person reading the image result. The imaging studies, like any other tests are not 100%. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Get HPV and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health
