Diarrhea may be coincidental to the onset of menses, especially if it persists beyond the menstrual period. Endometriosis can invade the colon, and the inflammation surrounding the invasive endometrial cells can cause diarrhea. I fyour symptoms persist, ask for a referral to a GI specialist. Oral bcp's may be your best alternative to endometriosis, unless pregnancy is desired.
