Itchy hands: Common things like eczema and dry skin can occur in patients with dermatomyositis, so first a moisturizing cream should be tried. If no response, please see your dermatologist. The rash of dermatomyositis is usually not itchy. However patients with dermatomyositis are often on medications that suppress the immune system so fungal infections like ringworm can occur more easily.
