Good question. I find some patients are better on one or the other. It depends on the patient's compliance to the medication and their individual metabolism. There is no set answer to this question.

Lisinopril is usually a once a day drug. There are occasions however when the antihypertensve effect wears off in less than 24 hours. Depends entirey on what the BP response is. Dose adjustments are common and you need to follow up with your doctor.
