Strep A is the cause of strep throat. It can be passed from person to person, or from chance contact with contaminated fingers bringing it to your mouth/nose. If those fingers touched a contaminated surface it can pass to you. The average adult touches their face/nose/mouth ~6X/hr. Sinus infections can also be caused by strep, but they are usually something else.

Agree with Dr.Ferguson. Strep can be transmitted through food an inanimate objects. Make sure to take antibiotic for the prescribed amount of time. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Get HPV and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!
