How could i have gotten strep throat if my family and i have practiced social contact for a year and are still masked everywhere we go? could an allergy/sinus infection become strep throat?

Strep A is the cause of strep throat. It can be passed from person to person, or from chance contact with contaminated fingers bringing it to your mouth/nose. If those fingers touched a contaminated surface it can pass to you. The average adult touches their face/nose/mouth ~6X/hr. Sinus infections can also be caused by strep, but they are usually something else.
