It depends but go back to 7.5mg until the symptoms subside and try alternating between 7.5mg and 3.75 for a few weeks. Much of this depends on age and other medical issues and medications. Give each dose change 2-3 weeks.

I would be interested in what the withdrawal is exactly and why you are going off the mirtazapine. If you are going slowly enough you may just be feeling the original issue for which it was prescribed.

May need to go slow: Stopping the medication abruptly or reducing the dose too fast can lead to withdrawal.
