I am a 57 y.o. female and had an anterior right total hip replacement 8 weeks ago and a debridement 3 weeks ago. my sites are opening up again and i have pain in my buttock when i walk. my lower spine is fused from previous surgeries. what can it be?

If incisional sites are "opening up" after eight weeks post surgical hip replacement, it may indicate post-surgical collection of blood from the debridement. See your surgical physician who performed the hip surgery for an exam to rule out infection, etc..

Was there infection as a cause for the debridement? It may be recurrent infection. Important to be re-evaluated to make sure the infection is not worsening.
