A member asked:

I have metastatic breast cancer to the spine. i just had my usual lab work and my rdw-cv & rdw-sd was higher than normal. what does that mean? all other things were normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the information you provided about blood tests is not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!
