My 7 year old's weewee sticks up like he needs to pee even when he doesn't. he say its very uncomfortable. what is this condition. thank you?

Sometimes boys get erections for unexplained reasons and they gradually go away. But if it is persistent and not occasional I think he should be seen by a Urologist.

In a normal boy (no sickle cell issue), a weewee that sticks up off and on is just what weewees do. A normal boy's penis gets erect sometimes, usually for no particular reason. We let kids know is that penises get hard sometimes, and not to try to pee when it's hard but wait for it to get soft. Many adults talk little about penises; thus kids have trouble finding words to describe the sensations.
