Every cycle i get severe mittelschmerz: starts day 6/7 of cycle, lasts 10-12 days, pain peaks then tapers- nausea, cramps. one of the days im on my knees in horrible pain, cant move. done having kids,dont want bc. how do i heal & get my life back?

Endometriosis can cause this type of increasing pain with a drop in estrogen much more significant than in one's teens and twenties. Resulting blood in the peritoneal cavity from endometrial implants is also an irritant, causing pain. Oral bcp's will stop hormonal activity, with consequent diminished pain. Hysterectomy with removal of ovaries will also stop hormonal activity.
