One tends to vomit bile(yellow or green) when the stomach is empty. This may have been one episode of bile reflux which differs from acid reflux.. Your liver continues to produce bile even without a gall bladder which used to store your bile. If this symptom recurs, consult a gastroenterologist for evaluation and advice.
