Are water bottles healthier than drinking unfiltered tap water?

Depends. Tap water from most certified city water districts are as safe as bottled water. Some bottled water is done so just for your convenience & may be the same as local municipal water. They may run it through a simple filter just to say they did.

Municipal water is generally safe that bottled water does not offer extra safety. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Get HPV and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!

If bottled water is your main source of drinking water, you could be missing fluoride, a mineral that helps prevent tooth decay. Many communities add fluoride to the water supply to make certain that residents receive the benefits of fluoride. While the fluoride content of bottled water varies greatly, the vast majority contain suboptimal optimal levels of fluoride. Some contain no fluoride.

You are asking to compare two broad categories in which grade 1 to 10 exist in both. If your municipal water dispensed from your tap is highest health grade, you do not need bottled water. If you are traveling, camping, or staying far from city, and can get reliably authentic company’s bottled water, buy from big store, in bigger size to avoid duplication. Hope it helps.
