A 78-year-old female asked:

If qtc is 500, (70+ female) what are the implications?

While women tend to have a longer QTc interval than men, a value of 500 is abnormal. If it is not explainable by medication effect (quinidine, quinolone antibiotics, other antibiotics, antifungals, etc) it can imply some structural abnormalities of the heart. A cardiologist is best to evaluate and advise you.
