A member asked:

Can inflammation from one side of the sinus shift to another side when the head is tilted to the opposite side?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

There are some basic things to consider. The sinuses are like caves or compartments in the skull that lighten the weight of the bone. They start to develop in early childhood and are fully formed by adulthood. They are separated compartments with entrances/exits. Any inflammatory process can involve only one or both sides, but leaning the head does not shift fluid between them.
