A mandate is just an enforceable rule. You can choose to wear masks whenever you want. Mask mandates will remain in effect for mass transit such as buses and planes for a while yet. Make sure you complete your vaccine series. Take regular precautions while traveling and staying in the hotel. Wash/sanitize hands, avoid people who appear ill, wear a mask in crowded areas.
