hCG hormone is produced by the placenta after an egg is fertilized and attached to the uterine wall. I am unaware that Phentermine would cause an increase in hCG levels. Please consult with your prescribing physician about continuing this medication while pregnant.

Better stop taking Phentermine right away. Very likely you are pregnant, and part of your weight gain is related to it. Amphetamines (Phentermine is one of them) cause high blood pressure and racing heart that are bad for the baby. In rare cases they are associated to babies with cleft palate, heart problems etc. Go to the Primary Care Doctor to confirm pregnancy and start your prenatal care.
