There seems to be some concern for large mega doses of biotin (greater than 5gm per day) and interference with testing for hiv levels. The tests results can be higher or lower than the real value. Since biotin is a B vitamin, it is water soluble and gets cleared routinely from the blood and excess urinated out. If you are concerned, then may be stop taking biotin for 3 days or so before testing.

It depends on the type of test. If the indicator system uses biotinylated markers, then excess intake of biotin can affect the results. Taking large doses of biotin is not therapeutic for any disorder. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
