If you are noticing dryness with a moisturizer containing retinol, this may be too drying a preparation for you. Putting a cream on that then needs another moisturizer seems counterproductive. If you are determined to use up the existing container, then using an additional moisturizer increases your risk of allergy/skin sensitivity. It may be better to avoid or use less.
