A member asked:

How is bruising from leukemia different than regular bruising? is it darker? do they last longer ? are there just more of them in general (like all over your body ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The color of a bruise is driven by the red cells leaking into the tissue. It does not matter what caused the bleeding into the tissue. Regular bruising is usually due to trauma, bruising in leukemia and other blood disorders can occur without any trauma. Get HPV and Covid vaccine.
