In that region there are abdominal muscle, gall bladder, liver and some intestinal tract. Do you have a family history of gall stones? In addition to having an examination by a physician, gastroenterologist or abdominal surgeon,, I recommend having a right upper quadrant ultrasound study and liver function tests. In the meantime avoid eating fatty & fried foods.

The chest wall may be inflamed and applying local heat may be helpful, after discussing with your PCP. Avoid muscular strain and if you have heartburn this may be addressed. Avoid spicy foods, eating less than two hours prior to bedtime.
