A member asked:

What does pt mean in a blood test and is 55.6 hi? and ptt 84.8?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your PT (Prothrombin time) is so high that I question the accuracy of the result. Talk to your doctor. Wish you good health!
