Confusing post. You should never go on antibiotics unless the sore throat is confirmed as Strep A by rapid test (10 min). Some of the worst throat appearance is caused by viruses, which self heal & never respond to antibiotics. If you have difficulty keeping hydrated see your doc.

If you difficulty in swallowing saliva or breathing, go to the emergency department of a nearby hospital. Do not try to treat it by yourself. Wish you good health!

Please go to Urgent Care of the Emergency Room of your hospital if you feel your throat is closing. If you can't get there please call 911.
