It seems to run in some families. Gallop in others. Do family tree to see your roots. May need to ask everyone as does not come up in normal conversation.

vitiligo is not caused by taking medication to my knowledge. It is a genetic disease that my occur on its own, but is also associated with a number of autoimmune diseases such as diabetes, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, thyroiditis and celiac disease just to mention a few. As such it may be transmitted to your off spring
