Is it harmful to take stool softeners, such as colace, everyday? i have every hard stool and i'm wondering if this could be a good solution?

All meds should be taken for the shortest period of time and at the lowest dose. Avoidance or inclusion diet along with hydration and physical exercise will suffice otherwise specifically early in life. Many times medical causes are found and that’s why discussing your problem with your doc would be important in identifying a possible cause.
