A member asked:

I have a 3.9 ascending aorta aneurysm when should i have it repaired?

I would. It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to discuss it with your doctor who knows more about your health than is practical in this forum. Wish you good health!

If the measurement is accurate, it suggests borderline dilatation and warrants further evaluation. Your aortic size alone does NOT justify repair. If you have not already been seen by a cardiologist, please make the appointment and follow the cardiologist’s advice.
