Can high stress cause irritable bowel syndrome?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

In addition to certain food triggers, high stress levels can cause or aggravate irritable bowel symptoms. If you're feeling continuing stress & anxiety I recommend stress management therapy as ongoing stress and anxiety can eventually result in physical symptoms.
