A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mono: Mononucleosis is a viral infection, typically epstein-barr virus, which causes a variety of symptoms. Extreme fatigue, fever, chills, nausea, malaise, abdominal pain are evident in many patients. Treatment is supportive, there is no medication that "cures" the acute illness. Patients are usually advised to stay home until the acute phase resolves.
