Preferably, you should be exained and tested, in addition to treatment; and also tested tor other STDs like gonorrhea, syphilis and HIV. Your other sex partner(s) in the last 2-3 months also need to be informed and treated. If for some reason you cannot get care in person, your infected partner's doctor or clinic may be willing to treat you ("expedited partner treatment", or EPT).

Agree with Dr. Handsfield. About 25% people who get Chlamydia also have gonorrhea, so it is important to see a doctor and both of you to get treated at the same time.
