Yes. Especially if you or your partner(s) have HIV or other STDs. Ask them. If you have never been tested now is a good time to do so. HIV is very widespread in SA in my understanding. Go to Uptodate.com and read The BASICS about HIV. Then read Beyond the Basics. Share with your contact. Your Drs May be able to provide meds to decrease risk of getting HIV. Be Careful.
