Normally, circumcision is done shortly after birth with a local anesthetic. Since your baby is now 2 months old, they may need to do the procedure under general anesthetic. Talk to your pediatrician for further instructions and details. They can also refer you to the right DR.

I have had this question arise many times, and always recommended that the circumcision be postponed until about 1 year of age since the procedure would be done with a general anesthetic.

To consider 2 weeks to heal following a circumcision should be sufficient if you don't encounter any infections in the healing. You will be tender at first. but with time that should resolve.

Here are...: Takes 1 day to seal skin edges of incision; 2-4 days, to feel almost no pain; 1-2 weeks, to resolve; 1 month, be safe for sex, but not always; and up to 1 year or longer to fully mature. That is how body works - works wonder; be respectful to nature and no easy way around; work closely with your doc. Best wish...

1-2 weeks total: The acute irritation is present for a day or two, but the entire healing process takes a couple of weeks. You can certainly bathe baby if cord is off, and this is very soothing to the incision area. Also, helps to just glob some KY or vaseline on to prevent diaper from sticking to the fresh surgical site.
