If the pain is low in the abdomen it could be of pelvic organ origin and a gynecologist would be best to evaluate and advise you. Appropriate testing will be carried out and, if advisable, you may then be referred to another specialist such as a gastroenterologist or abdominal surgeon if no gynecological pathology,(like pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, ovarian cysts), is found.
