While "tubal ligation" is almost a secure method of contraception, pregnancy can occur with an imperfectly completed BTL. Polyps, fibroids, and hormonal irregularities can also cause bleeding and cramping. Obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy, and see your gyn for an exam and additional testing (ultrasound, etc).
