Exercise, lose excess weight, eat plenty of vegetables, lean proteins, water. Be sure you are up to date on measles, mumps, and rubella titers. Eat small portions of good fats olive oil, walnuts, almonds. Very important to get a physical from your primary care doctor to rule out diabetes, anemia, thyroid disease, HIV.

It would be useful to establish a relationship with an obstetrician who may examine you and provide customized advice and provide ante-natal care, as needed. S/he may also advice you to take pre-natal vitamins. Wish you good health and a healthy baby!
