If your emotional state has deteriorated and it has lasted more than 2 weeks, you do indeed need help. Would immediately contact a local psychologist or psychiatrist and get this evaluated. Therapeutic interventions can indeed help. Medications are also available, and your primary care doctor could facilitate. A virtual consult here at HT might be an efficient starting point.

There are many things you can do for depression. Don't isolate. Spend time w people even if by distance. Use your support system. Get out. Don’t stagnate at home. Work to get 8 hours or more of sleep per night & eat healthfully. Daily aerobic exercise is a big +. Recommend the “Feeling Good Book" by Dr. David Burns. Don't just read it - DO IT!

Have a physical exam by a Dr. to know if you have a physical illness. If you are cleared consult with a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy to help you with ZOOM & a Psychiatrist for medication. Your fears are heightened due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Stay safe & hopeful to elevate your immunity.

Agree with Dr. Fowler. In the meantime, start exercising. Begin with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity so that you sweat profusely. It may take a few months for the full effect. Wish you good health!
