Professional eval: "depressed" is a feeling... If you feel depressed (low, sad, pessimistic), then you do. But your question may be about "clinical depression" or "major depression", that is, a state of depressed mood severe enough to require treatment. This can best be answered by an in-person evaluation with a mental health professional, who can assess your mood and other related symptoms. Take care.

Depressive sxs.: I agree w dr. Reidbord. Evaluation is key. Some sxs which can be suggestive of depression include change in energy level (most often lower) as well as mood changes. Sleep can be disturbed with either too much or too little of it. Sex drive is often down. Ones appetite & weight may go up, go down or yo yo. Apathy may be pervasive with lack of joy. Feeling helpless or hopelessness may be profound.

Feeling Good: There are several types of depression. Reactive depression occurs as a result of loss and eventually we adjust. If one does not adjust or if the cause is not clear certainly seek professional help. "feeling good" by david burns is an excellent self-help book based on science. Don't let the thickness of it intimidate you. Take it bit by bit. The very best to you.
