Should it be reason for concern if a dr's office receptionist is dispensing medical advice without ever relaying the patient's question to the dr or nurse? i have found that to be the case many times when calling my primary dr w/a question?

This is an issue which requires communication directly with your physician. If you are uncomfortable with the office environment, find a different provider. Your local medical society may be able to assist you in this situation.
