I am 28 and i had a lumbar discectomy on my l4/5 nerve. 10 days after surgery i was doing well, i stopped taking pain meds and i was experiencing no pain, 20 days later (now) i started getting intense pain across my left to right hip, is this normal?

Address this concern with your surgeon who performed the discectomy. If the pain is different from preoperative symptoms this may be a new process involving the lumbosacral vertebrae or paraspinal muscles. However I'm also concerned about complications from your surgery such as nerve root damage.
