Cramps can be secondary to multiple etiologies, and you could do a blood screen looking for metabolic problems. Sometimes supplements containing calcium, magnesium, or even potassium may help, but do not start unless blood studies are indicative. Calf cramps may be mitigated by Achilles tendon stretching, and this approach could be instructed via a physical therapist.
