Most women start perimenopause somewhere between ages 39 and 51. It generally takes around five years from the start of perimenopause for a woman to stop menstruating. Dry vagina can be due to many things including dehydration, meds, overuse, and hormonal fluctuations. A woman has reached menopause when she has not had a period for one year. It is very rare for a 20 yr old to undergo menopause.
