Low levels of pregnancy hormone can produce inconsistent results from home pregnancy tests. Pregnancy can occur outside the uterus (ectopic) with low levels of pregnancy hormone, so obtain a serum HCG test and if postive, see your gyn provider asap, as ectopic pregnancies need immediate attention.
