My husband hurt his leg on sunday and is in a lot of pain. at 2am this morning he got up to go to the loo and had a fit on the bathroom floor. looked like he stopped breathing and then came to again. should we take him to see a doctor?

Go to the ED : If your husband stopped breathing after a seizure he needs to go to the emergency room now. Call for an ambulance now.

Yes, ASAP: Sudden loss of consciousness could be due to dehydration, drop in blood pressure, cardiac problem, syncope due to pain, or even a seizure. If this is associated with cessation of breathing, strongly urge visit to urgent care or ER, now.
