Acoustic neuroma: Acoustic neuromas are usually pretty slow growing tumors taking years to reach about an inch at which size they can cause mild symptoms. It's uncommon for them to grow rapidly but some do. Of course larger tumors cause more symptoms because of compression on other structures.
